As we have been remodeling The Captain’s Manor Inn we are trying to reuse any significant features of rooms. So for example when we took the bathroom in the Canopy apart we saved the stained glass window and Kevin has been restoring it so we can then overlay it with exterior weather tight glass and use the window in the new front foyer.
Here is a picture of the window in progress
The foundation has been dug and the foundation footings are complete.
Today we have the trench dug, the new electrical 400 amp service wiring in the ground and the trench already filled in. Almost like nothing happened 🙂
The big work has begun with the demolition of the common bathroom on the second floor and the elimination of the back of the wraparound veranda where the new addition and new verandah will go at The Captain’s Manor Inn in Falmouth, Ma. Enjoy the pictures!!
The remodeling of the Canopy room at The Captain’s Manor Inn has begun with the demolition of one of the closets in the room and the bathroom. A new expansive bathroom will be added onto the Canopy room as part of the broader expansion and renovation of the Inn. Below are some pictures showing the work in progress.
Stay tuned for blog updates and we hope to have a webcam in place later in October to show the work in progress on the exterior of the Inn. We look forward to sharing all of our updated accomodations news from here in wonderful Falmouth, Ma.
What a wonderful event ! The 2011 Jazzfest in Falmouth ran from September 20th until October 2nd. My personal favorite part was the Jazz Stroll on Friday, September 30 th from 6-10pm. This free event included 12 different groups performing at various indoor and outdoor venues at Queen’s Buyway and along Main Street. The picture below is of the group Rosemary Ramos Trio who played at Bojangles retail store just around the corner from The Captain’s Manor Inn. What a talented young group of people!
