A little update on our bed & breakfast remodeling completed to date: removed the 1959 heating system (yes I did write 1959) that was operating at 64% efficiency and installed new 94% efficient system and blew in insulation to the top floors of the building.
Room updates so far: Nye and Forbes have new ceilings, carpets, bathrooms, wall paint (out with the wallpaper – in with the paint); Lawrence has new wall paint and carpet; Canopy and Tuscany have new carpet.
The dining and living room have been updated including paint, carpet, furniture, and elegant ceiling fans.

A favorite activity near our Cape Cod bed & breakfast, is enjoying the nearby Shining Sea bike path (0.2 miles) which is the only bikeway on Cape Cod that runs alongside the sea, providing views across salt marshes, barrier beaches, and open water. Other activities include enjoying nearby beaches or a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard via ferry shuttles that are within walking distance from the Inn. Golf courses are plentiful. Day trips to Boston (1 1/4 hours), Newport, Provincetown, Plymouth, Martha’s Vineyard, and Providence (1 hour) are some other excursion options available to enrich your longer Cape Cod vacation.
The Captain’s Manor Inn is a bed & breakfast on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Falmouth Village Green Historic District. It is listed as Mostly Hall, a name it has been known by since the 1800’s when a young child remarked to his mother “look Mom, it’s mostly hall” upon entering the massive foyer.
The Inn was the 1st summer home built in Falmouth on Cape Cod and had its own furnace for heating and a private gas plant for interior and exterior lighting.
