The Captain’s Manor Inn is dedicated to the highest level of guest service. We have created the following policies to ensure we meet that goal for visitors that stay at our inn in Cape Cod.

Minimum Stay

A three night minimum is required Memorial day weekend, July 4th , Labor day weekend, Columbus day weekend, weekends in the summer and certain special events. Otherwise a two night minimum is standard.

Payment and Deposits

Prepayment is required for one night’s stay. Stays of two or more nights require a 50 percent deposit to guarantee your reservation. Deposits, by credit card only (MasterCard, Visa or Discover), will be processed at the time the reservation is made. The balance is due 14 days prior to arrival, by cash, credit card or travelers’ check. Reservations are subject to Massachusetts state and local lodging tax rates which together total 9.7%

Cancellation Policy

As a small property cancellations affect us greatly.  In the unfortunate situation where you need to cancel your reservation, deposits are refundable ( less $60 per room service charge) on reservations canceled more than 21 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations made 21 days or less prior to arrival require that the room be re-rented for all nights reserved in order to provide a refund less a $60 per room charge. (If we are able to re-rent the room at a reduced rate the refund will reflect that reduction). On reservations made more than six months in advance or multiple room reservations, a 60-day cancellation policy applies and full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Changes and modifications in existing reservations are subject to the above 21/60-day cancellation policy.

We highly recommend travel insurance to protect against last-minute emergencies. If interested there is a site we are aware of called Insure My Trip where it is possible to get quotes from many insurance providers. Our understanding is they have coverage for delays or cancellations due to weather, peril, job loss, and medical crisis. The policies have added benefits for medical care while away, including medical evacuation. We do not have personal experience with the Insure My Trip website so we cannot personally recommend it.

Check-in and Out Times

3 to 6 pm. Please contact us if you require a check-in after 6 pm. Check-Out is 11 am. We greatly appreciate your respect for our check-in and check-out times as we have a small window of time to prepare the inn for new arrivals.

On-site parking (one space per room, nothing in tow) is available for registered guests only.

Non Smoking/ Open Flame / Incense Policy

For the safety and comfort of all our guests, The Captain’s Manor Inn is a non-smoking inn and property. There is to be no smoking or vaping in the Inn or on Inn grounds. No candle, incense or open flame of any kind is allowed in this circa 1849 wood structure.

Quiet Time at Our Cape Cod Inn

Out of respect for our Inn guests and our residential neighbors quiet hours are from 10 pm until 8 am.  This applies to the Inn interior as well as the wrap around veranda and grounds.

Children & Pets

Well supervised children, 12 years of age and older, are welcome. We cannot accommodate pets.

For your comfort, our guestrooms are appointed with upscale furniture, top quality linens and high end carpeting.  If your stay results in any significant damage or loss to Inn property, we will need to charge you for the value of the replacement or repair.  We will notify you immediately of our concern and please feel free to call us to discuss the issue.

All valuables such as travel documents, credit cards and personal property are the full responsibility of the individual guest. The bed and breakfast is not responsible for loss of any money or valuables while staying at the inn. Management is not responsible for damage to any auto or loss of contents in the auto while parked at the Inn.
