Captain's Manor Inn
Congratulations to Newlyweds Lilliana and Naldo who spent the beginning of their Honeymoon at The Captain’s Manor Inn. Lilliana got ready the morning of the wedding at the Inn before heading off to Sphor Garden in Falmouth for the wedding ceremony. Lilliana and Naldo’s Boston photographer, Kim Calakoutis of K-C-Studios, was kind enough to share a link where you can view some beautiful photos of Lilliana as she prepared for the big day as well as photos of Lilliana and Naldo being wed at Spohr Garden in Falmouth.

A favorite area to visit just down the road from our Cape Cod bed and breakfast is Woods Hole in Falmouth. The picture below features one of our guests, Norman, inside Alvin the submarine while visiting The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution this past summer. Alvin has taken 12,000 people on over 4,000 dives the most famous being the exploration of the wreckage of RMS Titanic in 1986.
We recently learned that Alvin is undergoing a major overhaul and upgrade. The overhaul will take 16 months.

Chris and Kathleen Engaged !
Congratulations to a beautiful couple. Chris was masterful in arranging his special romantic proposal. He had selected a gorgeous antique engagement ring from Isaacs Gallery in Louisville, KY and had it sent in advance to The Captain’s Manor Inn. There was a bit of nerves to be had due to weather predictions that could have caused a delay in Chris and Kathleen’s arrival but all went smoothly. Chris popped the question on the front walk of the Inn and we are honored to be the place where they will have begun their new life together. We can not wait to see pictures of the wedding!

What incredible weather we had for Alexis and Luke’s stay as they celebrated their honeymoon. Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a beautiful dozen red roses were waiting in their guest room upon their arrival. Breakfast out on the veranda each morning enjoying the garden views. They also enjoyed great local restaurants and shopping as well as a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. The last evening included a respite on the veranda with a gourmet wine and cheese platter plus their take home souvenier of hand etched wine glasses from The Captain’s Manor Inn.
Best wishes for many happy years to a beautiful couple!!

Gerri and Fred were first time guests of The Captain’s Manor Inn as they celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary yet they have been guests for years at the property when it was known as Mostly Hall. What fun to listen to their experiences and to share with them our future plans for the Inn and hear their ideas. Their celebration coincided with Kevin and my 28th wedding anniversary so we decided to host a wine and cheese celebration for all our guests. What a fun time.

We just had the pleasure of having Brian and Beth spend their 25th wedding anniversary with us. Brian and Beth shared fond memories of their stay at what was then Mostly Hall. They were able to reserve the very same room they had back then (Canopy). This visit they had the chance to rent bikes and enjoy the Shining Sea bike path and the excellent weather we have been experiencing here on Cape Cod.
Beth had even saved the business card from Mostly Hall back 25 years ago and I was able to scan it so I could post it on the blog. What fun!

We are having a wonderful time meeting our guests who are traveling from various states in the U.S. as well as from around the world to join us at the Inn in Cape Cod. Since opening in May our international guests have been from Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Norway and the U.K. One uncanny visit was from 2 couples visiting from Melbourne and Sydney Australia. It just so happened that our daughter was getting ready to travel to Australia for a college tri-mester abroad and she was able to visit with our guests and gain wonderful information on her upcoming trip. The uncanny part was she was only home for that one night before heading out and our guests just happened to be in Falmouth prior to going to Martha’s Vineyard and they found our Inn for their one night stay as they were driving through town. We are so lucky!! I have attached some pictures from our new Australia friends who were kind enough to send them when they arrived home.
