Do you have parking?
Yes, we provide free on-site parking limited to one space per room.
What is the closest airport to your Inn?
Our guests have the choice to go to Boston’s Logan Airport or Providence/Warwick T.F.Green Airport in Rhode Island. Each airport is about and hour and 15 minutes from the Inn so you can choose which airport has the best flight for you.
Do you have rooms with two beds?
All of our rooms feature one king-size bed or one queen-size bed and are designed for a party of two. We do have one room that has a twin size pull out couch. Please call so we can check on availability for that room.
Do you have internet access?
We offer free Wi-Fi which works throughout the Inn as well as outside on the wrap around veranda.
What are check-in, check-out times?
Our normal check-in hours are 3:00-6:00 PM; check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Do you offer early check in / late check out?
We are a small property and each room is unique, so another guest before or after you limits our ability to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs. We can usually accommodate your car for a short time before check-in or after check-out so you can walk around town and enjoy.
Do you have hair dryers?
Hair dryers are provided in each guestroom for your convenience.
Do you have irons and ironing boards?
An iron and ironing board are provided in each guestroom.
Do you have fireplaces in any guestrooms?
We have gas fireplaces in the K.L. Bates, Hatch and Robinson guestrooms.
Are there Televisions in the guestrooms?
Yes each guestroom has a flat screen cable television.
Is there a refrigerator in the guestroom?
There are no refrigerators in the guestrooms. There is a refrigerator in the Bistro area for guest use. It is located on the main floor next to the water cooler.
Can we bring Wine/Beer to drink at the Inn?
Please feel free to bring Wine/Beer to enjoy at the Inn. We have wine glasses and corkscrews in the Bistro that you are welcome to use at the Inn. There is also a small guest refrigerator in the Bistro where you can keep your drinking refreshments cool.
Do you have any minimum stay requirements?
During the summer season and holiday weekends there is typically a 3 night minimum on the weekends and a 2 night minimum during the week. For other seasons there is typically a 2 night minimum during the weekends. We also highlight what we call our One night wonders on a page on our website where based on how bookings have come in there may be a 1 night available on a weekend where a 2 or 3 night minimum is typically required.
Can you accommodate a late arrival?
We are able to accommodate later arrivals as long as we know in advance. Just email us or give us a call. If you are arriving past 9 pm, we can provide information so that you can get into the inn and into your room. We will check you in formally the next day.
How close is the beach?
The closest beach is Surf Drive beach just a one mile walk from the Inn. There are a number of other beaches in town as well.
Do you have beach towels?
We are happy to provide beach towels and we have a limited number of beach chairs as well.
Is Falmouth bike friendly?
Falmouth is very bike friendly and is home of the wonderful Shining Sea Bikeway. This is an 11 mile paved bike path that winds through Falmouth along the ocean of Vineyard Sound to Woods Hole Village and north through the cranberry bogs and marshes where you will see wonderful scenery, quintessential Cape Cod homes, and wildlife.
Does the Inn have bikes we can use?
We do not have bikes however just around the corner at Corner Cycle they have a variety of bikes available from standard bicycles to tandem bicycles. Their prices are very reasonable and include rental of the bike, helmet, bike lock and bike basket.
What do you serve for breakfast?
We offer a full breakfast service from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM. We start with juice and a 1st course which includes fruit plus a scone or muffin. The main course alternates each day between a savory main course one day (such as a choice of 2 types of quiche with homemade breakfast potatoes and toast) and a sweet course the next day (such as Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and strawberry sauce or maple syrup and butter). The main course also usually has a breakfast meat selection. There is always the option for a lighter breakfast such as cereal or yogurt and fruit. Coffee and tea are of course available as well.
What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
Just let us know ahead of time and we can usually accommodate you.
Do you have air conditioning in the guestrooms?
Each room features the latest in quiet, energy efficient air conditioning with individual room temperature controls.
Do you have rooms with private bathrooms?
All of our guestrooms feature private in-room bathrooms with rain-showers. The Robinson and Hatch guestrooms also feature large soaking tubes. Each bathroom is furnished with Gilchrist and Soames shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and specialty soaps.
Do you have on site laundry facilities?
We do not have laundry facilities on site however there is a laundromat just about 1 mile away off of Main Street on Scranton Avenue.
Are discounts such as AAA or senior discounts provided?
We do not offer discounts such as AAA or senior discounts. Interestingly in the summer the local Holiday Inn is often priced at the same level as we are and yet we also offer a full served breakfast and afternoon refreshments.
Do you host weddings?
We host elopements for a couple and up to 4 additional guests. Our Elopement Package is outlined on our website in more detail. In addition to the elopement amenities included in the elopement package (e.g. flowers, cake, champagne) we provide a list of recommended elopement officiants and photographers for your ceremony at the Inn. We can also recommend local hair and make-up salons as we cannot accommodate hair and make-up artists on site at the Inn.
Do you have smoking rooms?
No. Our entire facility is NON-SMOKING.
Do you allow children and pets?
Children age 12 and older are welcome. We do not accommodate pets.
What if I check out and leave something behind?
Lost and found items are held for 30 days and then disposed of (unsanitary items are immediately disposed of). We can ship items to you upon request for a postage fee if you contact us and provide shipping information and a credit card.
Can we depart earlier than scheduled if something comes up?
You are welcome to leave early; however, early departures are considered cancellations of nights reserved and are non-refundable. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect against last-minute emergencies. If interested there is a site we are aware of called Insure My Trip where it is possible to get quotes from many insurance providers. Our understanding is they have coverage for delays or cancellations due to weather, peril, job loss, and medical crisis. The policies have added benefits for medical care while away, including medical evacuation. We do not have personal experience with the Insure My Trip website so we cannot personally recommend it.
