We are pleased to announce that we have become a member of Coonamessett Farm in Falmouth, Ma. Coonamessett Farm is a twenty-acre farming and research enterprise located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, USA. The operation is organized in three Divisions: Agricultural Production, Research, and Consulting. Coonamessett Farm has been serving public- and private-sector clients locally and globally since 1989.
Our first activity upon joining was to harvest a number of herbs to plant in our herb garden at The Captain’s Manor Inn. Just yesterday we started our breakfast offering with Kevin’s wonderful poached pear with raspberry sauce highlighted by fresh mint leaves just picked from our herb garden. We look forward to more wonderful breakfasts served with fresh fruit, herbs etc. from our garden and from Coonamessett Farm.

In 2009 the Town of Falmouth was designated a “Preserve America Community“ by the White House. This award is important because it is for perpetuity and Falmouth is the only town on the Cape to have received this award. The award is a tribute to the our historical organizations and individuals who have helped to keep our town’s history preserved and relevant for us and for the future. In 2011, Falmouth plans to honor the “Preserve America” designation in conjunction with the 325th Anniversary of the incorporation of Falmouth in 1686.
We invite you to book your accomodations at the elegant Captain’s Manor Inn in Falmouth where there are numerous historic sites, museums, and homes. Guided historic walks are provided by The Falmouth Historic Society as well as Highfield Hall.
We are especially proud of Falmouth’s designation as a Preserve America Community and view ourselves as stewards of The Captain’s Manor Inn, a Cape Cod bed and breakfast built in 1849 and lovingly restored to its old-world architectural splendor with up-to-date amenities. The Inn is listed on the National Historic Register of Historic Places as part of the Falmouth Village Green Historic District.

The Captain’s Manor Inn is very proud to announce that we have joined the Clean the World Organization.
Clean the World implements its mission through collecting, sorting and sanitizing discarded soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion products donated from participating hospitality partners sanitizing and recycling these product donations and delivering them to domestic homeless shelters and impoverished countries suffering from high death rates
Since its inception in February of 2009, Clean the World has put over 6 million soap bars and 200,000 pounds of shampoo and conditioner back into human use, simultaneously eliminating nearly 340 tons of waste.
