Falmouth, Cape Cod was first settled by English colonists in 1660 and was officially incorporated in 1686. It was named by Bartholomew Gosnold for Falmouth, Cornwall, England, his home port. Just across the street from The Captain’s Manor Inn is the Falmouth Historical Society and Museums on the Green. They have preserved wonderful stories and relics from the town’s history. A link to their website is provided below as well as a number of short video clips from a video that the society commissioned. We hope you enjoy the stories and choose to come and visit live for a more personal tour.
