It may be hard to believe but the holidays are now upon us! There are only a few weeks left ’til Thanksgiving and then it’s time for Falmouth Holidays By The Sea Weekend 2019 – December 6th through the 8th, for the 2019!
Falmouth loves Christmas and Holidays By The Sea is a beloved, New England tradition here on Cape Cod. The event sees 3 days of festive fun designed to help kick off the holidays with a real bang. It’s one of the most exciting weekends of the year with tree lightings, carols, treats, a Christmas parade, holiday concerts, and so very much more!
Captain’s Manor Inn is proud to get in on the festivities with an Open House scheduled for December 7th, from 5pm to 7pm. Our Falmouth inn Open House include delicious and cheery food, drink, and music. Don’t miss out!

Friday, December 6th
Gardens Aglow at Heritage Museums & Gardens – 4:30pm to 8:30pm
Gardens Aglow is a treasured, Cape Cod holiday tradition of beautiful light displays throughout the Heritage Gardens. The event includes live entertainment, roasted marshmallows, Santa, crafts, vintage carousel, ice sculpture carving, and much more. Tickets are available online at heritagemuseumsandgardens.org.
Holiday Carol Sing – 5:30pm

Get ready for a fun evening of caroling on the Cape! This festive sing-along of familiar holiday classics is always a good time for all. While the venue is still TBD, the event typically includes includes hot chocolate and treats. Dress warmly!
Saturday, December 7th
Jingle Jog 5K & Kid’s Elf Run 3:30pm to 4:45pm
Get ready to run in your wildest “jingle bells” holiday outfit during the annual Jingle Jog 5K or Kids Elf Run. Awards are given for top runners and “Most Festive” attire. The Elf Run starts at 3:30pm, the Jingle Jog at 4pm. Learn more and register online at falmouthchamber.com
Seafaring Santa – 10:30am
Join the and the Falmouth High School Chorus in welcoming the Seafaring Santa to Falmouth Harbor at The Flying Bridge on Scranton Avenue. Santa will greet the children and pass out candy canes.

Falmouth Village Holiday Stroll – 5pm to 8pm
Stroll or enjoy a trolley ride through Falmouth’s joyfully decorated and festively lit streets. This popular holiday tradition sees Main Street closed to traffic with music, caroling, refreshments, extended holiday shopping hours, and many other fun holiday festivities.
Lighting of the Falmouth Village Green – 7pm
Cap off your holiday evening with the annual lighting of the Falmouth Village Green. The Falmouth Brass Choir will lead the caroling before a special visit from Santa and the Lighting of the Green.
Sunday, December 8th
56th annual Falmouth Christmas Parade – 12pm
Come watch Southeastern Massachusetts’ largest holiday parade with decorated floats, marching bands, live animals, costumed characters, and – of course! – Santa Claus! This year’s theme is “Peace & Goodwill.”
