Review:

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay on the Cape – our first and hopefully not our last.  5 star food , 5 star accommodation, 5 star hospitality. Trish, your advice and suggestions were always spot on, Thank you! We may not be back too soon, but will be sure to tell everyone back home about this little piece of heaven! As we say in Scotland  “Lang may yer lum reek!”  Lesley and John     Sterling Scotland

We so love the guests that we have the privilege of meeting from around the world when they come to visit Cape Cod. Along the way we have learned many little sayings and enjoyed the exposure to other cultures.  This particular Scottish saying was noted in both the BBC America 25  Scottish sayings that will get you through  life and in the Sunday Post of the Scottish News under the Best ever Scottish phrases.  The literal meaning of “Lang may yer lum reek” is “long may your chimney smoke” which is the best way to wish someone a long and healthy life.
